More than any other monument in Portugal the Tower of BelŽm reflects the courage, the pioneering contacts with other peoples and the major contributions Portugal made to world events in the past.

The organ of the Church of the Holy Spirit in ƒvora, in spite of its small size, has a characteristic sound quality, and also benefits from the fine acoustics of the building.

A project is in process to allow the Lighthouse of St. Michael the Angel to function as a museum as well as house a rescue centre for the Lifeboat Institute (Instituto de Socorros a N‡ufragos)
